DIDPIP BOOKING & TICKETING TERMS
Last updated: 20 October 2026
These Booking & Ticketing Terms apply when Acts/Bands, Venues and Fans use Didpip to arrange performances, create gigs, sell or purchase tickets, manage bookings or use related Didpip services.
By making, accepting or paying for a booking, or purchasing a ticket through Didpip, you agree to these Terms together with Didpip's general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. WHAT DIDPIP DOES
Didpip connects Acts/Bands, Venues and Fans.
Didpip provides services including gig discovery, booking administration, ticketing, payment processing, notifications, booking records, reviews and dispute-management tools.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, Didpip is not the performer, Venue, event organiser or provider of the live performance.
A confirmed performance booking is an agreement between the relevant Act/Band and Venue.
A ticket is sold for the relevant event by the Venue/event organiser identified for that event.
Payments processed through Didpip use our payment provider, Stripe.
---
ACT/BAND & VENUE BOOKINGS
2. MAKING AN OFFER
Either:
- a Venue may make a booking offer to an Act/Band; or
- an Act/Band may make an offer to a Venue.
The offer should state the agreed or proposed:
- performance fee;
- date;
- performance time;
- Venue;
- Space/Stage where applicable; and
- other material booking requirements.
Unless otherwise stated, an unanswered booking offer expires after 48 hours.
An offer may be retracted before it has been accepted and confirmed.
An expired, declined or retracted offer is not a confirmed booking and does not create a cancellation penalty.
---
3. CONFIRMING A BOOKING
A booking is CONFIRMED as soon as the Venue and the Act/Band have both accepted the same offer through Didpip, including the performance fee, date and times.
No Didpip booking fee, deposit, subscription or other payment is needed to confirm a booking.
If either party changes any term, the other party must accept the changed terms afresh before the booking is confirmed.
Whether or not the performance fee has yet been paid does not affect whether a booking is confirmed — agreement and payment are recorded separately.
---
4. DIDPIP FEES
Didpip's core service for Venues and Acts/Bands is free. Didpip does not charge a booking fee, commission, subscription or pay-as-you-go charge on act bookings, and the Act/Band receives 100% of the agreed performance fee.
Didpip currently charges only for:
- paid tickets sold through Didpip — 5% of each paid ticket, with a minimum of 50p per paid ticket, plus Stripe's card processing fees; and
- optional gig promotion — £10 to promote a gig to Gig Guide viewers whose postcode is within 25 miles of the venue.
Posting a gig is free. Promotion is optional.
To sell paid tickets, the ticket seller must first connect a Stripe payout account.
Bookings and orders made under earlier fee terms keep the terms recorded when they were made.
Didpip's charges may change. The charges applying to a transaction are those displayed when it is made.
---
5. PAYMENT OF THE PERFORMANCE BALANCE
Didpip does not normally collect the remaining performance balance.
The Venue and Act/Band are responsible for settling that balance directly, for example by cash or bank transfer.
Didpip may record whether payment has been made or received but does not guarantee payment by either party.
After the gig, the Act/Band may be asked to confirm whether the outstanding balance has been received.
The Venue may also be asked to record the payment method.
---
6. THE DIDPIP BOOKING RECORD
A confirmed Didpip booking creates a permanent electronic Booking Record.
This may include:
- Act/Band;
- Venue;
- Space/Stage;
- date and time;
- agreed performance fee;
- outstanding performance balance;
- booking requirements;
- accepted changes;
- reschedules;
- cancellations;
- payment confirmations;
- disputes;
- notifications; and
- relevant timestamps.
The Booking Record may be used as evidence of what was agreed through Didpip.
Users must not attempt to manipulate or circumvent the Booking Record.
---
7. CHANGING A CONFIRMED BOOKING
Neither party may unilaterally change a material term of a confirmed booking through Didpip.
A material change should be submitted as a Change Request.
The other party may accept or decline it.
Until the change is accepted, the original confirmed booking remains in force.
Additional arrangements made privately between the parties do not automatically amend Didpip's Booking Record.
---
RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATION
8. RESCHEDULING
Didpip encourages Acts/Bands and Venues to reschedule wherever reasonably possible rather than cancel.
Either party may propose an alternative date.
The other party will normally have 48 hours to respond.
If accepted:
- the booking moves to the agreed new date;
- no Didpip charge applies to a reschedule;
- applicable tickets may transfer to the replacement date;
- affected users may be notified; and
- the original gig may remain visible as RESCHEDULED, with a link to the replacement event.
A reschedule request does not itself cancel the existing booking.
If the proposed date is declined or expires, the original booking remains active unless subsequently cancelled.
---
9. VENUE CANCELLATION
Didpip does not charge a Venue for cancelling a booking, and does not retain any booking amount.
Where tickets have been sold and the Venue cancels the whole event, the rules in section 21 (Event Cancellation) apply.
The gig may remain visible and be marked:
CANCELLED BY VENUE
Relevant ticket holders, attendees and followers may be notified.
The cancellation may be recorded against the Venue's Didpip booking history.
Bookings where money was collected under earlier Didpip terms keep their recorded financial terms.
---
10. ACT/BAND CANCELLATION
An Act/Band wishing to cancel should first consider rescheduling.
Didpip does not charge an Act/Band for cancelling, and never automatically collects a performance fee or cancellation penalty.
An Act/Band cancelling does not automatically cancel the whole event or refund tickets. The Venue may find a replacement act, in which case the event goes ahead and ticket holders are told about the line-up change; or the Venue may cancel the event, in which case section 21 applies.
The booking may be marked:
CANCELLED BY ACT
Relevant users may be notified.
Cancellation may be recorded against the Act/Band's booking history.
---
11. MUTUAL CANCELLATION
An Act/Band and Venue may mutually agree to cancel.
Both parties must confirm the mutual cancellation through Didpip.
Where both agree:
- neither party normally receives a cancellation strike;
- no Didpip cancellation charge applies;
- if the whole ticketed event is cancelled, section 21 applies;
- the gig may remain publicly listed as CANCELLED; and
- relevant Fans, followers, attendees and ticket holders may be notified.
---
12. EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
A party may request an exception where cancellation or non-performance results from genuine exceptional circumstances outside their reasonable control.
Examples may include serious accidents, Venue flooding, extreme weather, government restrictions or similar events.
Didpip may request information or evidence.
Didpip may, at its discretion and where appropriate, remove a cancellation strike or no-show label.
This does not automatically remove obligations relating to ticket holders, refunds or money already owed.
---
NO-SHOWS, NON-PERFORMANCE & PAYMENT DISPUTES
13. ACT/BAND NO-SHOW
A Venue may report an Act/Band that fails to attend a confirmed booking.
The Act/Band will be given an opportunity to respond, dispute the report or propose a replacement date.
Where the Venue accepts a rescheduled date, Didpip may remove the financial/public no-show consequences.
Didpip does not charge a no-show fee on bookings confirmed under the free core service.
A reported no-show may be referred to Didpip Admin for review.
---
14. VENUE FAILS TO HONOUR A BOOKING
An Act/Band may report a Venue that fails to honour a confirmed Didpip booking.
Examples include a Venue being closed, refusing the booked performance, double-booking the agreed Space/Stage or denying the confirmed booking.
The Venue will normally have 48 hours to respond.
Didpip may restrict new booking activity where a complaint is upheld or ignored.
Didpip will not automatically pay the Act/Band the outstanding performance balance on behalf of the Venue.
---
15. NON-PAYMENT AFTER A PERFORMANCE
If an Act/Band performs but does not receive the agreed outstanding performance balance, the Act/Band may report non-payment through Didpip.
The Venue will normally have 48 hours to:
- confirm payment;
- resolve the matter; or
- dispute the report.
Didpip may restrict the Venue from making new bookings while an upheld or unresolved payment obligation remains outstanding.
Didpip does not guarantee the Venue's debt and does not become responsible for paying the Act/Band.
---
16. CASH PAYMENT DISPUTES
Where a Venue records that cash was paid but the Act/Band states that it was not received, Didpip may create a Payment Dispute.
Both parties may be asked to provide information or evidence.
Possible outcomes include:
- resolved in favour of the Act/Band;
- resolved in favour of the Venue; or
- insufficient evidence / unresolved.
Where there is insufficient evidence, Didpip is not required to determine that either party has acted dishonestly.
Didpip may retain an internal record for platform safety and repeated-pattern monitoring.
---
17. AGREED REDUCED PAYMENT
Where a performance takes place but the parties agree that a different final payment is appropriate, they may record an agreed revised payment through Didpip.
Both parties must confirm the revised amount.
Once confirmed, Didpip may mark the matter:
RESOLVED BY AGREEMENT
Didpip does not normally decide subjective disputes about whether a performance was sufficiently good, entertaining or commercially successful.
---
TICKETS
18. TICKET SALES
Venues/event organisers may sell tickets through Didpip.
Different ticket types may be offered, including General Admission, Early Bird, VIP, Child or other categories.
Ticket types may have:
- different prices;
- different allocations; and
- maximum quantities per customer.
A Venue's total physical capacity and its Didpip ticket allocation may be different.
Reaching the Didpip allocation does not necessarily mean the entire Venue is sold out.
---
19. DIDPIP TICKET FEE
The standard Didpip ticket fee is currently:
5% of the ticket price or 50p, whichever is greater.
Applicable payment-processing charges are separate.
Fees applicable to the purchase will be displayed before payment.
---
20. FAN CANCELLATION
Where Didpip permits a Fan to voluntarily cancel a ticket, the Didpip booking/service fee is non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Applicable payment-processing costs may also be deducted from the refund where legally permitted and clearly disclosed before purchase.
The exact refundable amount should be displayed before the Fan confirms cancellation.
A ticket that has already been used/check-in completed cannot normally be cancelled or refunded through self-service.
Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
---
21. EVENT CANCELLATION
When a ticketed event is cancelled as a whole — including where an Act/Band cancels and the Venue then cancels the event:
- each ticket holder is refunded their full original payment, including any booking fee they paid;
- Didpip returns its entire ticketing fee;
- the Venue/ticket seller bears Stripe's non-refundable card processing cost on those refunds — it is never deducted from the Fan's refund and is never charged to the Act/Band automatically;
- Didpip does not keep its ticketing fee or subsidise the Venue's Stripe cost;
- the Venue's share of the card cost is recorded as owed and deducted from the Venue's next ticket payout;
- the listing is marked cancelled, ticket sales stop, refunded tickets are invalid for entry, and ticket holders are notified.
An individual Act/Band withdrawing from a multi-act event does not cancel the whole event.
---
22. RESCHEDULED EVENTS
Where an event is moved to a new date, an existing valid ticket may automatically transfer to the replacement event.
Where offered, the ticket holder may be able to choose between:
KEEP TICKET
DIDPIP CREDIT
REFUND
The options available will be displayed for the relevant event and are subject to applicable consumer rights.
---
23. DIDPIP CREDIT
Where offered, a Fan may choose Didpip Credit instead of receiving an eligible cash/card refund.
Didpip Credit:
- can be used against eligible Didpip tickets;
- may be used with a different participating Venue;
- may be used as part-payment;
- cannot normally be exchanged for cash;
- cannot normally be transferred to another user; and
- is recorded against the user's Didpip account.
The applicable value, validity and any additional restrictions will be displayed when credit is issued.
Didpip Credit does not remove any right to a cash refund where applicable law requires one.
---
24. TICKET TRANSFERS
A valid unused ticket may be transferred to another person where the transfer facility is available.
Didpip does not currently charge a ticket transfer fee.
When a transfer completes:
- the original ticket becomes invalid;
- the original QR code becomes invalid;
- a replacement valid ticket may be issued to the recipient; and
- Didpip retains a transfer record.
Didpip does not currently provide a paid ticket resale marketplace.
---
25. QR TICKETS & ENTRY
Didpip tickets may contain a unique QR code or other secure ticket identifier.
On successful entry scan, the ticket becomes:
USED
A subsequent scan may display:
ALREADY USED
Cancelled, refunded or superseded transferred tickets may display:
INVALID
Venues may also use manual ticket lookup where appropriate.
Possession of a QR code does not entitle a person to multiple admissions.
---
26. EVENT STAFF
Venues may authorise temporary Event Staff to scan/check tickets.
Event Staff access is limited to functions reasonably required to operate the event entrance.
Temporary Event Staff do not receive general access to Venue financial, booking or account-management information.
---
27. DOOR SALES
Venues may record additional door admissions through Didpip.
Card payments processed as Didpip ticket sales are subject to applicable Didpip and payment-processing fees.
Where a Venue records a direct cash door sale, Didpip may record the attendee/capacity usage without charging Didpip ticket commission on that cash transaction.
---
28. GUEST LISTS
Venues may maintain guest lists through Didpip.
Acts/Bands may request guest places, subject to Venue approval.
Approved guest places:
- may be free of charge;
- count towards applicable capacity;
- may receive a QR ticket; and
- may be checked in through Didpip.
---
CHARGEBACKS & PAYMENT COSTS
29. PAYMENT DISPUTES AND CHARGEBACKS
The Venue/event organiser is ultimately responsible for legitimate ticket payment chargebacks and associated payment-provider costs relating to tickets it sells.
Didpip may provide transaction and attendance evidence to the payment provider, including:
- ticket purchase information;
- ticket issuance;
- transfer history;
- QR check-in;
- timestamps; and
- relevant transaction records.
Where a chargeback is lost, Didpip may deduct the amount and applicable costs from available or future Venue balances where legally and technically permitted.
If insufficient funds are available, the amount may become an AMOUNT OWED.
---
REVIEWS & REPUTATION
30. VERIFIED ACT/BAND ↔ VENUE REVIEWS
Professional Act/Band ↔ Venue booking reviews may only be left following an eligible completed Didpip booking.
These may display:
✓ VERIFIED DIDPIP BOOKING
Venues may review Acts/Bands on matters such as:
- reliability;
- communication; and
- professionalism/performance.
Acts/Bands may review Venues on matters such as:
- communication;
- organisation; and
- payment/reliability.
Fan reviews are separate.
Reviews must be honest, relevant and based on genuine experience.
---
31. CANCELLATION, NO-SHOW & REPUTATION RECORDS
Didpip may record confirmed booking incidents including cancellations, no-shows, booking-not-honoured reports and non-payment incidents.
Users may be given an opportunity to dispute relevant records.
Didpip Admin may remove, amend or restore an incident record following review.
Didpip reserves the right to restrict or suspend accounts displaying persistent abuse, fraud, non-payment or serious booking breaches.
---
DISPUTES & ADMINISTRATION
32. DIDPIP DISPUTES
Didpip provides dispute-management tools to help Acts/Bands and Venues resolve problems.
Didpip may review:
- Booking Records;
- communications;
- payment records;
- timestamps;
- submitted evidence;
- notifications;
- ticket records; and
- previous relevant incidents.
Didpip may make decisions concerning use of the Didpip platform, including account restrictions, Didpip fees, strikes and booking statuses.
Unless specifically required by law or separately agreed, Didpip does not act as a court, arbitrator or debt collection service and does not determine legal liability between users.
---
33. ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION
To protect users or investigate a problem, Didpip may where reasonably necessary:
- freeze a booking;
- temporarily stop ticket sales;
- freeze a payout where technically available;
- restrict new bookings;
- suspend an account;
- correct an erroneous booking status;
- remove or restore a strike/no-show record; or
- investigate suspicious transactions.
Material Admin interventions are recorded in Didpip's audit systems.
---
ACCOUNTS
34. ACCOUNT CLOSURE
An account cannot necessarily be immediately deleted while it has outstanding obligations.
Where an account has future confirmed gigs, outstanding refunds, ticket money, disputes or amounts owed, Didpip may place it into:
CLOSURE PENDING
The user may be prevented from accepting new business while existing obligations are resolved.
---
NOTIFICATIONS
35. OFFICIAL DIDPIP NOTICES
Important Didpip notices may be sent by:
In-app notification and/or email.
Users are responsible for maintaining a current email address and checking their Didpip account.
Where a response deadline applies, such as a 48-hour booking or dispute period, the deadline does not automatically stop because the recipient has not opened the email or notification.
Didpip may retain records showing when notifications were generated and delivered where that information is technically available.
---
FEES & PAYMENT PROVIDERS
36. FEE CHANGES
Didpip may change its fees and rules from time to time.
Changes do not retrospectively alter the financial terms of a confirmed booking unless required by law or expressly agreed by the affected parties.
Current fees will be displayed before a user enters into the relevant transaction.
---
37. STRIPE AND PAYMENT PROCESSING
Didpip uses third-party payment services, including Stripe, to process applicable payments.
Payment-provider fees, requirements, delays, disputes, identity checks and technical restrictions may apply.
Didpip cannot guarantee that an attempted payment, refund or off-session charge will always succeed.
Where an amount legitimately remains payable following a failed transaction, Didpip may record that amount as outstanding and restrict relevant account functionality until it is resolved.
---
GENERAL
38. CIRCUMVENTION
Users must not deliberately manipulate Didpip bookings, ticket prices, cancellations or payment records to avoid properly applicable Didpip fees.
Didpip does not seek to control legitimate additional arrangements made directly between an Act/Band and Venue following a booking, such as agreed overtime, additional sets, expenses or gratuities.
---
39. PLATFORM AVAILABILITY
Didpip aims to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Where a technical or payment-processing error occurs, Didpip may use its Booking Records, payment-provider records and audit logs to reconcile the correct booking or payment position.
A duplicate technical notification does not create an entitlement to duplicate payments or refunds.
---
40. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Subject to applicable law, Didpip is not responsible for the quality of a performance, the commercial success of an event, a Venue's failure to pay an Act/Band, an Act/Band's failure to perform, or losses caused by another user's breach of their booking obligations.
Didpip remains responsible for obligations that the law places directly on Didpip and does not seek to exclude statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
---
41. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Didpip may update these Terms as the platform develops.
Material changes will be published through Didpip and, where appropriate, users will be notified.
Confirmed bookings retain the booking-specific fee/rule snapshot agreed when they were confirmed unless a change is required by law or subsequently agreed.
---
42. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from relying on any mandatory legal rights or jurisdiction protections available to them.
---
43. CONTACT DIDPIP
Questions about a booking, ticket, payment or these Terms should be submitted using the contact or support facilities provided on Didpip.
For a problem concerning a specific booking, users should use the relevant booking's dispute/reporting tools wherever possible so that the issue is linked to the permanent Booking Record.Add your terms of service here.
AGE AND ACCOUNTS
Didpip accounts are for people aged 18 or over. By registering you confirm you are at least 18.
Tickets for anyone under 18 must be bought by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. That adult is responsible for the booking, for the young person's attendance, and for meeting any age restriction set by the Venue or event organiser.
Age restrictions at individual gigs and Venues are set by the Venue or organiser and are shown on the event where they apply. Photographic ID may be required at the door.
Where a refund is due on a ticket bought for someone under 18, it is made to the original payment method and therefore to the adult who paid.
