5. OUR LAWFUL BASES
Under UK data protection law, we need a lawful basis for processing personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:
Contract
Where processing is necessary to provide Didpip services you have requested or to take steps connected with your use of those services.
For example:
- Creating your account.
- Processing a ticket purchase.
- Managing a booking.
- Providing Didpip Credit.
- Processing an eligible refund.
Legitimate interests
Where reasonably necessary to operate, protect and improve Didpip and those interests are not overridden by your rights.

- Platform security.
- Maintaining appropriate booking records.
- Investigating misuse.
- Handling disputes.
- Improving Didpip.

Where information must be processed or retained to comply with applicable law.
This may include financial, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations.

Where we specifically ask for your permission.
Examples may include:
- Optional analytics cookies.
- Optional marketing communications.
- Device location access where applicable.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent.

6. PUBLIC INFORMATION
Some information is intended to be publicly visible because Didpip is a gig-discovery platform.
Depending on your account type and choices, this may include:
- Act/Band profile.
- Venue profile.
- Profile images.
- Gig listings.
- Public reviews.
- Public cancellation/reschedule status.
- Other information you deliberately publish.
Do not put information on a public profile that you do not want other people to see.

7. FOLLOWERS & ATTENDING
Fans may follow Acts/Bands and Venues.
Fans may also mark themselves as Attending a gig.
These functions may be used to personalise a Fan's Gig Guide and provide relevant notifications.
Didpip should clearly indicate where any follower or attendance information will be publicly visible before making it public.
---
8. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information where necessary with:
Other Didpip users
For example, information required for an Act/Band and Venue to arrange and administer a booking.

Technology/service providers
We may use providers for:
- Website/app hosting.

---
9. STRIPE
Didpip uses Stripe for payment-related services.
When you make or receive certain payments, Stripe may process information including identification, payment, bank and transaction information.
Acts/Bands and Venues using Stripe Connect may also be required to provide Stripe with identity/business verification information.
Some of this information may be collected directly by Stripe rather than Didpip.
Didpip may receive information confirming your Stripe account/payment status without receiving all underlying verification information.
---

Didpip may issue unique QR tickets.
When a ticket is scanned, we may record:
- Ticket ID.
- Event.
- Valid/invalid status.

If you add another person to a guest list, only provide information reasonably necessary for that purpose.
Guest-list information should not be used for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.
---
12. REVIEWS
Reviews may be publicly visible.
Professional reviews between Acts/Bands and Venues may be marked:
✓ VERIFIED DIDPIP BOOKING
This indicates that Didpip has a record of an eligible booking between those users.
Didpip may retain information linking a review to the underlying booking for fraud prevention and moderation purposes even where that information is not publicly displayed.
---
13. DISPUTES & EVIDENCE
If a booking, payment or other dispute occurs, Didpip may retain information reasonably necessary to investigate it.

---
16. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, contractual and dispute-resolution requirements.
Different information may therefore be kept for different periods.
For example, financial transaction and booking records may need to be retained longer than ordinary website preferences or support enquiries.
Where information is no longer required, we will delete or anonymise it where reasonably possible.
Account deletion does not necessarily require immediate deletion of information that Didpip must lawfully or reasonably retain.
---
17. ACCOUNT CLOSURE
You may request closure of your Didpip account.
Where outstanding obligations exist — such as future bookings, refunds, disputes, ticket proceeds or money owed — the account may enter CLOSURE PENDING until those matters are resolved.
After closure, Didpip may retain information where necessary for:
- Financial/accounting requirements.
- Fraud prevention.
- Legal claims.
- Booking records.

Public profile information that no longer needs to remain public should be removed or anonymised where appropriate.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will use appropriate safeguards where required by UK data protection law.
---

---
21. MAKING A PRIVACY REQUEST
To make a privacy or data-protection request, contact Didpip using the privacy/contact details provided on the website.
We may need to verify your identity before providing, changing or deleting personal information.
This helps prevent somebody else from obtaining or deleting your information without permission.
---
22. CHILDREN
Didpip is designed primarily for people arranging, promoting, attending and purchasing tickets for live entertainment.
If Didpip permits accounts or ticket purchases by children or young people, appropriate age-related privacy protections and consent requirements must be applied.
Didpip should not knowingly collect more information about children than is reasonably necessary.
Specific age/account rules are set out elsewhere on Didpip where applicable.
---
23. COOKIES

Where a decision has a significant effect and applicable law provides a right to human review, Didpip will provide an appropriate route to request review.
---

Didpip will update this Privacy Policy as the platform develops or where legal/service-provider requirements change.
The latest version will be published on Didpip with the date it was last updated.
Where appropriate, we may notify users about significant changes.
---
26. COMPLAINTS
If you have concerns about how Didpip handles your personal information, please contact Didpip first so we can investigate.
You also have the right to raise a complaint with the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
